Pukekohe Cinema

When Pukekohe’s long awaited Cinema 3 was complete and opened it brought to fruition the hopes and dreams of a group of local businessmen who had campaigned for 6 years to see a movie theatre return to the main centre of Pukekohe.

After such a long period in resource consent there was a high level of local interest in the project and the final outcome did not disappoint.

The project had a limited budget and we introduced significant design innovation over traditional cinema design to make significant savings without compromising critical acoustic and visual criteria.  According to the international installers of the multi media equipment, the Cinema’s acoustic qualities are among the best they have had to work with.

Situated in Edinburgh St, Pukekohe, the cinema complex has three theatres seating 350 in total and uses the very latest in fully digital projection technology including 3D and Dolby surround sound.  Even in the smallest of the three cinemas the screen to seat ratio is excellent ensuring all movie-goers enjoy a big screen experience.
